The Acorn Theatre Awards are designed to promote and champion works of live performance that address climate change, ecology, and sustainability.

The award serves as a directory, allowing audiences to find works on themes that affect all of us, and will only get worse while humans fail to respond.

Why Acorn?

The old adage that ‘from tiny acorns mighty oaks grow,’ is true here. A theatre performance is the seed that lodges in the mind of each audience member. From there it takes root and grows into a movement.
